FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index
Indexes defined by a global index provider FTSE Russell.The index is designed to be
sector-neutral, reflecting the relative performance of Japanese companies with superior
environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance in each sector.In order to promote the
transition to a low-carbon economy, for companies with particularly high greenhouse gas
emissions, only the companies whose improvement efforts are evaluated by the Transition Pathway
Initiative (TPI) Management Quality Score* are included.

*TPI Management Quality Score assesses the risk associated with a company’s greenhouse gas emissions and low-carbon transition and the quality of business management.

Morningstar® Japan Ex-REIT Gender Diversity Tilt IndexSM
An index developed by Morningstar Inc. in the United States Companies that have established
gender diversity policies embedded in their corporate culture and that are committed to equal
opportunities for employees regardless of gender are selected.
KOSÉ was selected as the highest-rated Group 1 in 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026.

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index
Adopted by GPIF (Government Pension Investment Fund) in 2018, the Index evaluates the performance of companies in the TOPIX (Tokyo Stock Price Index) while overweighting or underweighting those companies that have lower or higher levels of carbon emissions per unit of revenue. KOSÉ has been listed on the Index from its start.
SOMPO Sustainability Index
Unique index independently defined by Sompo Asset Management, Co., Ltd. by combining ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) evaluation and equity valuation (fundamental value). KOSÉ is listed in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.

KOSÉ has received the following evaluations and certifications from various external organizations.
Global
CDP
CDP is a non-governmental organization specialized in environmental issues including measures to
address climate change. CDP is sponsored by global institutional investors and runs initiatives
to collect, analyze, rate, evaluate corporate strategies, and make the results public.
KOSÉ has been providing our response on Climate Change, Water Security, and Forest (palm
oil) since 2019, and received A rating for Climate Change, A for Water Security, and B for
Forest in 2025. In particular, we have received AA rating for Climate Change and Water Security
for four consecutive years, in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Obtained SBT (Science Based Targets) certification
“SBT certification” by SBTi (Science Based Targets Inisiative) was obtained.
SBTi is an initiative run by four international environmental NGOs: CDP, WRI (World Resources
Institute), WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature), and UNGC (United Nations Global Compact).SBT
certification is granted to GHG emission reduction targets that are based on scientific evidence
and conform to the Paris Agreement, with the aim of “working ambitiously to limit the global
average temperature increase to 1.5°C, well below 2°C compared to pre-industrial levels.

Listed in "Healthand Productivity Outstanding Organizations"
This program is jointly run by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) and Nippon Kenko Kaigi to accelerate companies to engage in strategic efforts to advance health and productivity management from enterprise management point of view on employee healthcare. KOSÉ is named in the White 500 list of the Health and Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations in 2026 (Large Enterprise category). This year marks the fourth time that we have been certified as a "Health and Productivity Management Outstanding Organization (Large Enterprise category) -White 500-" under the Health and Productivity Management Outstanding Organization Certification System. KOSÉ is certified as one of the Health and Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations in 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
KOSÉ Won Award for Excellence in Consumer-Oriented Management
KOSÉ received the “Consumer Affairs Agency Commissioner's Award” in the Consumer Affairs Agency’s “Excellence in Consumer-Oriented Management Awards” for two consecutive years, in FY2023 and FY2024.
KOSÉ Customer Service Center received first-ever “HDI Five-Star Certification”: Customer-centric activities highly praised
In 2025, KOSÉ Customer Service Center received the Five-Star Certification, for the first time, in HDI-Japan’s certification program. Companies that provide exceptional service from the customer’s perspective and have earned a “three-star” rating in the HDI benchmark are evaluated against international best practices, and the Five-Star Certification is granted to those that exceed certain criteria.
KOSÉ received positive evaluations in all criteria, including Leadership, Policies and Strategies, Employee Management, Support Resources, and Processes and Procedures. In particular, our organizational structure that leverages "Voice of the Customer (VOC)" and prompt and sincere information dissemination via the web were highly praised as outstanding initiatives.
Selected as “Nadeshiko Brand”
KOSÉ was selected as a Semi-Nadeshiko Brand in 2020 and a Nadeshiko Brand in 2021 and 2023, which is a joint initiative by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Tokyo Stock Exchange to select companies that excel in promoting the activities of women.
Awarded “HAPPY WOMAN AWARD” in the corporate category
In the “HAPPY WOMAN AWARD 2021 for SDGs,” our corporate stance of “contributing to a society where women can play an active role regardless of gender” and our various initiatives were highly evaluated, and in 2021, we received the “Women’s Support Brand Award” in the corporate category for the first time.
D&I AWARD: “Best Workplace”
At the "D&I Award 2025," the largest award in Japan to recognize companies engaged in diversity, equity, and inclusion, KOSÉ received the “Best Workplace” Certification, the highest of four levels, as a company advancing D&I initiatives at a high standard and actively promoting them.
Obtained “Eruboshi (Third Stage)” certification from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare
The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare will provide in the "Eruboshi" business, which certifies the rank of companies and organizations, we have obtained the highest 3-star certification.
2025 "Water Cycle Active-company"
The Headquarters for Water Cycle Policy has certified KOSÉ as a “Water Cycle Active-company” under the Water Cycle Company Registration/Certification Program*, recognizing our proactive efforts in water cycle management.
Each of KOSÉ, KOSÉ COSMEPORT, KOSÉ INDUSTRIES, and ALBION has been certified.
